Movie Monday: The Adam Project

Time to travel and meet a new guy? I'm in! When I heard the plot of the new Netflix Project Adam movie I realized that this was really the case and when I heard the good comments I saw it with even greater excitement. My husband and I enjoyed this fun sci-fi adventure that is so amazing.

In 2050, Ryan Reynolds will be Adam, a high-tech time travel pilot. His father, played by Mark Ruffalo, invented a technology that allows him to travel through time, but is now in the hands of unscrupulous directors. Going back in time and trying to save his wife Laura, played by Zoe Saldana, Adam landed in 2022 near his childhood home. He asks for the help of a 12-year-old boy, played by Walker Scobel, on an injured and damaged plane. Of course, his enemies are behind him and the search for modernity is fast and high-tech with futuristic weapons. Adam was trying to save his wife, save the world, and save himself. The two Adams travel more in time to find their father (who died in 2022). There are many scenes of space-time harassment and many explosions , where two people fight (literally) over time to save themselves and the world.

This extraordinary multi-generational science fiction film has everything I love about the history of time travel: turning points, paradoxes of thinking, as well as meeting here long-lost friends ... and your baby! They are all very pretty and very beautiful. The acting here is great, with a perfect actor and a perfect match for the inexperienced Walker Scaville. Adam’s project is a little too heavy for my personal taste with explosions, bullying scenes, and high-tech battles, but everything is balanced with a lot of humor and an overall package that I like. It’s a very entertaining film with typical Reynolds wisdom (twice) and all the action, but most of the time I enjoyed traveling and family reunion. My husband and I enjoyed this fun, fast-paced, hot movie that made me smile.

Project Adam is the original Netflix movie, so it’s only available on Netflix.
